Young Lindgren gives Yanks fresh arm in tiring bullpen
It didn’t take Jacob Lindgren long to figure out where he was a year ago Sunday. And on Sunday, he made his first trip to The Bronx, with the Yankees in need of a “fresh arm” in the bullpen, according to Joe Girardi thanks to the team’s recent woes. “We liked what we saw in spring training and he’s done well in Triple-A [Scranton/Wilkes-Barre],” Girardi said before the Yankees’ 5-2 defeat to the Rangers.
