On the upcoming weekend the French football championship starts and in a week the Germans will fully start to play in their Bundesliga, but before that, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern will have the German Super Cup match to play. The match will be held on the Bumblebees’ field, but despite all that, bookmakers consider Bayern as clear favorites of the upcoming match, which, by the way, did not please with their results in midseason.
Borussia Dortmund have a new head coach, Peter Bosz to be exact, who has previously trained the Dutch Ajax. As for the squad changes, there aren’t that many of those. Philipp, Toprak, Dahoud have joined the team and Ginter, Bender, Ramos and Stenzel have left. All-in-all, the replacements are approximately equal, but the transfer window is still open.
Bayern sent Douglas Costa and Gnabry on loan, Benatia was sold, Tolisso, Coman, Sule were purchased and James Rodriguez is taken on loan. Basically, one might say, that the strongest team of Germany has strengthened even more, but the results of friendly matches weren’t very pleasant. Bayern lost to Arsenal, Inter and Milan at the International Champions Cup, but managed to defeat Chelsea. They lost to Liverpool and Napoli at Audi Cup. Ancelotti experimented a lot, so we will see, what has come out of it at the German Super Cup.
Neither Borussia, nor Bayern are in good conditions at the moment, but despite all that, the upcoming game will probably be very interesting. Borussia have a field factor on their side, which will probably help the team achieve success at the German Super Cup.
