Carlton: With longtime baseball boss Steve Smith out, Baylor should be attractive job

After his teams struggled the last three years, Steve Smith is out as Baylor baseball coach after 21 seasons. As a Big 12 school with good facilities in a prime recruiting area, Baylor should be an attractive job. In 2005, the Bears went to the College World Series. Smith ranks as the winningest coach in program history, and his 744 victories are the most of any Baylor coach in any sport.
