On the upcoming Saturday, 22nd April, a semifinal of the English Cup will be held, in which Chelsea will play on a neutral field at Wembley against Tottenham. Bookmakers do not give preference to any of the competitors in the couple, considering them being currently equal, and one can agree with such action line as both teams are really showing some high class football right now.
Unlike Tottenham, Chelsea have suffered several defeats recently. Losses from Crystal Palace and Manchester United, to be precise. Chelsea still retain leadership in the EPL tournament table, but the handicap between the Blues and the Spurs today is only four points and there are six more rounds until the end of the tournament.
Tottenham in their turn have got five victories within the last five matches. The defeated teams were Southampton, Burnley, Swansea, Watford and Bournemouth. Tottenham have approached their target, i.e. Chelsea by four points. But it is important to note, that the forthcoming match will be held on a neutral field, at Wembley, and Chelsea look better in away games this season. On the other hand, Tottenham do not consider Wembley as an alien stadium, as they’ve spent three UCL matches this season on the arena.
Tottenham have had several UCL matches at Wembley this season and in 2017-2018 season,= they will move to the arena permanently. Chelsea do not have such experience. Tottenham and Pochettino are very close to conquering the trophy.
