Inter Milan will host Bologna at their home ground within the round of 16 of the Italian Cup. Both teams are approaching the forthcoming match in decent shape. Inter have already forgotten, when they lost points and Bologna managed to get an away win against Crotone last Saturday, maximally securing themselves from a possible relegation to Serie B.
Inter have gained some terrific conditions, Stefano Pioli has made a colossal job in the Milanese team. Nerazurri do not just win, but show some great level of football as well. One should also not forget, that the Italian Cup is still a secondary tournament and Bologna are far from being a top competitor, therefore the Milanese grand can put out a half-reserve squad to play in the upcoming game.
The Italian Cup means a lot to Bologna. The Red-and-Blues basically have themselves from elimination, and Bologna will definitely not going to get to the Eurocups via Serie A. It is hard to do it through the Cup, but still possible, and maybe Donadoni’s men will try to do it. Bologna do not play well in away games of Serie A. They have only two wins with three draws and five defeats after 10 played matches.
Inter play very successfully at home, but one should note that it is unlikely, that we will see a first squad in the game, as a voyage to Sicily lies ahead and the strongest players need to recover after the match against Chievo. Bologna, in its turn, play as an obvious number two outside their native walls and have some troubles with effectiveness.
Prediction for the match: Under 3.5 goals in the match
