Lightning blank Rangers in pivotal Game 5

NEW YORK – Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos didn’t guarantee anything, or make any bold declarations about what he, or his team, would do in Game 5 against the New York Rangers. But Stamkos’ level of play said plenty as he contributed a goal and an assist to carry the Lightning to a 2-0 win against the Rangers that now puts Tampa Bay within one win of reaching the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since the team won the Cup in 2004.
