Napoli will host Real on the upcoming Tuesday within the second match of the round of 16 of the Champions League. The first encounter between the competitors was held in Madrid and brought the team from the capital of Spain a victory with a score of 3:1. Now there is a second match, in which Napoli will put maximum effort to tip the scales in their favor.
Napoli are having a rough period. On 25 February Partenopei hosted Atalanta at their home ground and the match was lost with a score of 0:2. Then there was an away match in Turin against Juventus within the Italian Cup and another loss happened, 0:3. After that, there was an away win over Roma 2:1, which brought hope for many supporters of Sarri’s team, that their favorites will manage to finish Serie A on the second spot and to advance to the Champions League next season without qualification.
Real were not in their best condition in the end of February. An away loss from Valencia, a victory over Villarreal, but gained with difficulties and not without the help of the referee, as well as domestic draw with Las Palmas, gained basically with the final whistle. But last weekend Real confidently beat Eibar in an away match.
The future competitors approach the forthcoming match in a good mood, which means, that we can expect some interesting football and numerous scored goals. It should be noted, that Napoli are a domestic team and if the squad will have been eliminated from the Champions League it will have tried to do it without losing at their home ground.
