Nice and Ajax are a couple within the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The third team of France will play against the second side of the Netherlands. Bookmakers do not distinguish a clear favorite in this clash. Ajax participated in the 2016-17 season Europa League final, whereas the manager has changed for the Dutchmen, while Nice, in their turn, have kept their head coach, but the team doesn’t have such a powerful background, plus the international experience is not that big, as in Ajax.
Prior to the Champions League qualification, Nice had a number of friendly matches, in which the victories were registered over Stade Nyonnais, Servette, Ghent and Borussia Monchengladbach, besides there is a loss against Slavia Prague. In 2016-17 season, Nice played very powerfully at their home ground within Ligue 1, the team had 14 victories with one defeat in 19 matches.
Ajax also had a number of friendly matches, but the results are worse for the Dutchmen: the losses from Werder, Olympique Lyonnais and only one victory over PAOK 4:2. It is important to note, that the head coach, who brought the side to the Europa League final, has left the team, so now Marcel Keizer has occupied the position of the manager. Tete and Klaasen have left the team, but Huntelaar joined. It is hard to say something definite for now about how will Ajax play under the management of the new coach.
Nice play great at their home ground, the team can be called 100% domestic. Ajax, in their turn, have squad changes, so there might be some problems, overcoming which may take some time. A bet on Nice looks like a decent option in the match.
