The Real Monarchs gave up two first-half goals and couldn’t rally in falling 2-1 to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Sunday in British Columbia. Vancouver struck first on a goal from Caleb Clarke in the 21st minute, then doubled its lead when Ben McKendry scored off an assist from Clarke in the 33rd minute.
